"Apelsin"

Educational Programme, Republic of Udmurt, Russian Federation, 2003-2005

Program of moral education for children, adolescents and youth “Apelsin” (The Orange) implemented at the initiative of Slava Abramov, teacher from Izhevsk, Republic of Udmurt, together with the State Educational Organization “The Springs” in 2003, was sponsored by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation in the framework of the Federal Program for Development of Education in 2003, and presented at the all-Russian Educational Forum "School 2003". As a result, “Apelsin” received the status of a Federal Experimental Site. During implementation of the project a Study Kit was created consisting of a Manual for Facilitators and a Video DVD with 25 films, and also two workshops for 50 teachers from schools of Izhevsk and the Republic of Udmurt were held on the methodology of interactive lessons based on ZIPoPo. “Apelsin” program was tested in educational institutions of Izhevsk, Moscow, Kazan, Krasnoyarsk, Tomsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Barnaul, Nizhny Tagil and Novorossiysk.
