"Happy Hippo Show"

Projects for Youth in South-Eastern Asia: China, Malaysia, Singapore, 1995-2016

The programme for promoting ethical behavior for children, adolescents and youth “Happy Hippo Show” (English version of ZIPoPo) was launched in 1995 after it was presented at the World Women's Congress in Beijing (China). The presentation of the programme was conducted five times instead of one planned in the schedule of the event, due to the demands of the audience, outnumbering the facility of the venue. One of the presentations was held in Mandarin language for the visiting group of Chinese teachers due to the help of ethnic Chinese educators from a Malaysian partner organization. Since then, the ZIPoPo programme has received wide international recognition in the countries of South-Eastern Asia, especially in China, India and Malaysia. Dozens of Workshop Trainers have taught several hundred Facilitators, who, in turn, held Happy Hippo Shows for the tens of thousands of participants.
