"Youth Against Corruption"

Corruption Prevention for Youth, 2015

Project "Youth of Tatarstan Against Corruption" is aimed at strengthening moral and ethical principles of youth; teaching the young generation to reject corruption as a phenomenon which is absolutely incompatible with the values of a modern law-abiding society, which ultimately will contribute to the creation of a strong negative attitude towards corruption, as well as the formation of a psychological environment which is extremely unfavorable for corruption. The main goal of the project was education of the youth of the Republic of Tatarstan in the spirit of rejection and condemnation of corruption, informing young people about the responsibility for corrupt actions, developing their ability to recognize corruption in various forms and to respond effectively both individually and collectively, and, ultimately, promoting socio-moral norms, which completely condemn corruption in our society. The implementation of this project became a tool for social and moral support for youth, which will make corruption a phenomenon, condemned by the majority of citizens of the Republic of Tatarstan. Project was implemented in several schools in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation in 2015-2016. Over 120 DVDs with 14 videoskits and the Manual for facilitating the lessons were distributed, training provided for 126 teachers.

Themes of the skits:

1. Nepotism (offering extra service for relatives or friends);
2. Misusing one's official status;
3. Gathering money in schools;
4. Stealing at workplace;
5. Learning to speak the truth or to lie from one's parents;
6. Bribery at exams in the University;
7. Bribery of the police officer;
8. Providing important information in an illegal way;
9. Psychological pressure;
10. Violation of the entrepreneurs' ethics;
11. Earning money in an unethical way;
12. Responsibility for one's actions;
13. Stealing as a way to restore justice;
14. Dating someone for advantage, not love.
